    This year the Autauga County Sheriff's Office worked with Mrs. Alice Smith from Community Action of Central Alabama to provide meals for Christmas for 12 families in need. Monetary donations were given by the Sheriff's Office employees to purchase the items provided for the meal. This project was headed up by Warrant Clerk Ngozi Agee with the full support of Sheriff Joe Sedinger.     National Night Out The Autauga County Sheriff's office participated in National Night Out that was held on Tuesday October 4, 2016. It was a great night to meet and interact with the public.     City of Prattville held its annual 9-11 ceremony on Sunday September 11th to honor those who lost their lives on that tragic day. After the ceremony started Woodmen of the World presented a flag to the City of Prattville that was placed on the flag pole at half-staff.     The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office and the Prattville Police Department teamed up and participated in a Dunking Booth to help raise funds for the Central Alabama CrimeStoppers. The fundraiser was held at the Prattville City Fest on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in downtown Prattville, and was very successful with raising over $1300.00 for the organization.     On April 8, 2016, Sheriff Sedinger participated in a Baby Shower of a different type to promote donations to the River Region Pregnancy Center.     The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office received a grant from the National Rifle Association (NRA) for an Eddie Eagle mascot costume. Eddie Eagle is the mascot of the NRA that teaches children about gun safety. Eddie says if your child sees a gun to “STOP, DON’T TOUCH, LEAVE THE ROOM, TELL AN ADULT”.     During the Prattville Veteran's Day Ceremony that was held on November 11, 2015 at 11am, Sheriff Joe Sedinger honored the Veterans who work for him at the Autauga County Sheriff's Office and Autauga Metro Jail.
