Auburn opened its football season with historically Black college Alabama A&M. The game was not expected to be competitive and it wasn't. The NCAA has agreed tentatively to pay out $2.7 billion to settle three anti-trust lawsuits claiming that the college and university members formed an illegal trust to deny thousands of student athletes just compensation over the course of decades. On Monday the University of Alabama Athletics Department announced that former University of Alabama Athletics Director and Clemson head football coach Cecil "Hootie" Ingram has died. He was 90. These 2019 projections are based on schedule difficulty, final regular season record and position that national polls will place each team at the end of the regular season. For the first time in 40 years of making these pre-season projections, there are no teams in the top 50 projected to finish 7-5.
